Do you need a car seat for your child? 

Funded by the New Mexico Department of Transportation Traffic Safety Division, the New Mexico Child Safety Seat Distribution Program (NMCSSDP) helps provide car seats and education on how to properly use them.  Find more info HERE.

ECECD Home Visiting provides any expectant or newborn NM family who requests it a Safe Sleep Baby Kit containing materials to foster a Safe Sleep environment in a variety of spaces. Our purpose is to provide all families in New Mexico access to and awareness of a Safe Sleep environment in a way that is respectful, culturally responsive, equitable, and informed. The Safe Sleep Baby Kit is distributed upon a family’s request by Home Visiting programs and partner agencies and organizations throughout our state.

The kit includes a bassinet, infant clothing, baby board books, and educational materials about Safe Sleep, baby’s development, and resources available to families of young children in our state. The Safe Sleep Baby Kit is available to families regardless of income, home language, citizenship status, or family structure.

To find a local Home Visiting program and arrange for your FREE kit, visit our Early Childhood Education and Family Supports Portal by entering an address, or call 1-800-691-9067.

The New Mexico Breast Feed Task force offers a "Lactation Circle " which is a  free virtual support group led by Siboney Rodriguez on a twice monthly basis. All families with interest in lactation (current or expecting) are welcome to join this safe space to ask questions and hold conversations with other parents.
Drop in and visit as we build a community of support for all lactating families!
