HEALTHY KIDS ARE BETTER LEARNERS!

Health SERVICES Bloomfield School District

Welcome to the Bloomfield School District  Health Services Department! There are Registered Nurses, LPNs, and Health Assistants on staff providing a variety of services to support the District Nursing Philosophy that "HEALTHY KIDS ARE BETTER LEARNERS!" The primary goal of nursing services is to support the education of students and staff by enhancing the potential for full participation in the educational program. This is accomplished by early identification of health problems, assistance in accessing health care providers in the community, and design of educational and health strategies to accommodate health problems to maximize the student's participation in their education. The student is viewed as a whole, with acknowledgment to the many systems the person operates within, such as family, community, and peers. The health of students and staff  and the systems around them have an integral effect on the ability to achieve success. Services of the school health office are directed toward supporting the student and staff in ways that heightens the opportunity  for experiencing education at levels necessary for success.
