Our Philosophy
At Central Primary School, we accept and respect children as unique human beings. Each child is encouraged to learn and develop on nature's timeline. A multitude of experiences are provided through which the child can make discoveries about self and others. As we accept the diversity of each child, opportunities are provided for a successful journey.
Our Mission
In a safe, caring cooperative learning environment, our mission is to promote positive self-esteem, empower students to become respectful and responsible individuals, build a strong foundation of essential learning skills, and create a lifelong desire to learn.
School Improvement Plan Goals
The percentage of students who score at the proficient/advanced level will increase by at least 3 percentage points for the "ALL" population (to 59% ) as measured by the results from the 2007-08 New Mexico Standards Based Assessment.
2. Students scoring below proficient on daily assignments, end-of-quarter assessments, Compass, TPRI, and/or STAR will attend a daily half-hour strategy group session that will provide instruction based on current levels of performance. 3. Non-proficient students (as defined by poor performance on math pre/post Compass test, end-of-quarter tests and/or daily work performance) will participate in tutorial instruction on specific deficit math areas. |
